Community Appreciation Wall

2020 has been a difficult and challenging year so far for many Australians.

From the devastating summer bushfires, to the ongoing drought to wild storms and floods and now the Coronavirus pandemic, the nation has been impacted.

Australia is built on mateship, mutual respect, compassion for those in need and the pursuit of public good. More than ever we need to support those Australians who are experiencing hardship.

We say thank you to the thousands of community members in essential service roles. We show our appreciation to those people in the community who have helped those in need.

We say thank you for making a difference.

Please join us and share a message of thanks on our community appreciation wall, located outside Woolworths.

About Aussie Helpers

Aussie Helpers is dedicated to supporting hundreds of farming families through the good and the bad times.

Aussie Helpers was established in 2002 by farmers Brian and Nerida Egan, who saw a lack of support for families suffering from the effects of one of the worst droughts in Australian history.

Through their farming background, the Egan's understood the hardships facing the farmers and formed Aussie Helpers to assist families under extreme pressure who may no longer be coping well.

The Aussie Helpers goal is to keep farmers on their land, when times get tough. Help from their organisation includes face to face visits to each property in the area, food, personal items, clothing, kids school fees, stock feed (hay, lick blocks, dog good, molasses etc) and fuel cards.

Aussie Helpers is a self-funded charitable organisation that has been operating for over 17 years and with no support from the Government. They exist becuase of the many supportive and caring Aussies who donate every year to the charity to keep the good work going, helping real people.
